Additionally, we issue International Payment Accounts to businesses and individuals worldwide. Through our partner agents, businesses can offer payment services in any country in Europe and the EEA.

Our business is currently going through an exciting period of growth and change following a recent announcement to the market that subject to regulatory approval, we will be acquired by Equals Group PLC, a UK based B2B-focused Fintech business with offices in London, Chester and Los Angeles.

We’re doing this by hiring exceptional people and are now looking for a Finance Manager to join our team.

About the role

Our payments business is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our finance team in Brussels, Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, as well as managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the business for projects based in Brussels. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller and other senior leaders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, support strategic decision-making, and drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related disclosures for projects based in Brussels.
  • Analyze financial results and key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making for projects based in Brussels.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the business for projects based in Brussels, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies for projects based in Brussels.
  • Support the Financial Controller in identifying and mitigating financial risks and opportunities for projects based in Brussels.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, department heads, and business unit leaders for projects based in Brussels.
  • Line manage a finance analyst providing guidance, training and mentorship.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, including financial statements and related disclosures, in compliance with accounting standards and company policies for projects based in Brussels.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies for projects based in Brussels.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making for projects based in Brussels.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective for projects based in Brussels.


Job requirements

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and communicate financial information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems.
